ForSurveys 1.5 Introduces Full Support for Both Windows Mobile and Palm OS Handheld Devices

ForSurveys 1.5 introduces full support for Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices. Users can now synchronize their data with both Windows Mobile & Palm OS devices over wired and wireless connections.

/Mobile Computing and PDA PR News/ - CHICAGO, IL, September 08, 2007 - ForSurveys 1.5 introduces full support for Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices and also now supports desktop and wireless synchronization for both Palm OS and Windows Mobile. In order to streamline deployment of surveys to multiple handhelds, this version also introduces new device management features.

Further updates made in ForSurveys 1.5 provide new interfaces to simplify the creation of complex logic in surveys. On the ForSurveys website, users can program complex branching to customize the questions asked to an individual respondent based on answers to previous questions. The new interfaces allow users to quickly preview and edit logic to fit the needs of their survey.

"We are very proud to release this new version of ForSurveys" said Karen Jeffrey, President of Forall Systems. "After listening to our customers we have adapted our software to give users greater flexibility and simplified the creation of complex surveys. We have already received great feedback on the new version, and we look forward to continuing to improve our product."

Using the ForSurveys websites, surveys can be designed with an intuitive interface. Selecting from over 15 different question types, surveys can be further customized with: sectioning, compound logic, multiple languages and response validation.

Once designed, surveys can be deployed to handhelds running either Palm OS or Windows Mobile for Pocket PC. Using the handheld, interviewers can quickly interview and record results. Once all of the data is collected, results can be synchronized via wireless or desktop connections. All data transmission uses SSL to ensure secure data communication.

Responses can be analyzed in real-time, using the online reporting tools available on the ForSurveys website. Graphs and charts allow users to quickly analyze the collected data and find responses most relevant to their research. Collected data can also be exported in a variety of formats (CSV, XLS, Triple-S), thus allowing importing into data analysis software for further processing.

ForSurveys also offers a web services interface, allowing developers to integrate into an existing infrastructure. Data can easily be imported/exported from ForSurveys in real-time, allowing for a number of customizations that greatly increase the value that ForSurveys provides.
